To clog or not to clog
Like any girl I love me some Chanel. Problem is, I do not love me some clog. Somehow though, I am really digging this look.
Through the looking pane
I guess I am lucky to say that I have been blessed with pretty decent eyesight. I never had to deal with contacts or long vision tests- but sometimes I do get a little jealous when I see all the amazing eyewear thats making its way onto the scene.
These glasses look so great on the model. These first 3 are Benjamin eyewear. Jenny Kayne (3rd shot) uses his glasses in her shows for an unexpected, yet visually pleasing accessory for the runway.

Have a little Faith
This morning at 241 am my cousin had her baby, a beautiful, non smushy faced little girl named Faith Ella. It is the first baby in my family in almost 17 years and I cannot wait until I get to meet this little bundle of joy! Congrats Jessica and Mike, you are going to be the best parents ever!

Snowday
Totally got hit with a blizzard today in the NYC area. Wouldve been the perfect day to stay in bed, enjoy some coffee and watch old movies. Instead, I got up, worked from home and played outside with the pup. I love snow, it reminds me of growing up in New Hampshire. Even though I cleaned off both our car and our neighbors car twice, it didnt bother me in the least bit. Crazy color in the above photo thanks to my blackberry camera, but its an idea of what the storm looked like at 5pm.

Isshoes from the West Coast
So here it is, my very first blog post ever...thank you Lauren for having me... I am so excited to share my stories, ideas and opinions! :)
Lauren and I have been friends now for 9 years (scary right?) and even though I am 3000 miles I consider her one of my closest friends! We don't necessarily chat everyday but we have so many shared passions, obsessions, ideas, that I will have a random thought or see something gorgeous and I will think Lauren would totally appreciate this...and then somehow the conversation ends up being about weddings....when it comes to weddings we are completely and certifiably insane or at least our husbands think so! :)
Since I live in San Francisco, I was thinking I would show a little bit about what's going on in the bay!
So kids, it turns out that corduroy is back...and as part of a guerilla campaign for the joint corduroy launch by Levi's and opening ceremony they covered random objects in corduroy and placed them all around the city....
Betsy Johnson was out here promoting her new line, and threw pink champagne party in her Union Square store....Betsy you are crazy but boy do I love your shoes....with plaid taking the stage these days, these booties are amazing...
Check out Lia Kes, she is a New York Designer that moved to San Francisco with her husband, and opened her 1st retail location. Lia's design vision is wear ability, she wants women to be able to clothes through various seasons, and different occasions.

Sista Sista why you buggin
100th post! Seems like just yesterday that my husband told me to "get a hobby and make a blog." So I did, and 100 posts later, I love my new hobby.
So in honor of this great milestone, I want to introduce to you a new column that is going to be popping up weekly on here. My good friend Melissa, who lives out in San Francisco (and who actually came up with the name for this blog) will be guest blogging! She will be writing about her life out on the west coast, and if I know Melissa, shoes/fashion/weddings will also be high on the priority list. This is, of course, the friend who shares the desire to open a wedding planning company with me someday. Her first column, unless I am mistaken, is going to be called "isshoes". Do you get it? Of course you do! Shoes! Girl has got some of the best shoes I have ever seen. Melissa, I give you the keys to the golden city! Blog away!
And of course since shoes are the topic, here is a pretty picture!
Jessica Simpson dany platforms. I dont like her but these shoes are hawt,
Tini-tot
So my cousin Jessica is pregant. She is four years older than me, got married a few months before me and is now with child (tini-tot as she is so lovingly referred to). First off, I want to thank my cousin. Not only for showing me the ropes as I was growing up, but for taking all pressure off me to have the first grandchild on my mom's side of the family. I figure this buys me at least 3 years, which I will gladly take advantage of (Raising my glass of wine in the air).
So my mom and my aunt Sue decided that they were going to throw a baby shower for Jessica up in NH. (6 hours away from me for those who are counting). This instantly made me nervous, because they both tend to over-analyze and stress out about these sorts of things. I volunteer to help, and 2 weeks later I am at work having a nice little conference call chat with these two. I am on speakerphone and I dont like it one bit, they keep yelling too loud and then laughing at eachother. I throw out a few ideas, and they run with it. I start to get way too excited about this shower, I begin scowering the web daily for new ideas and realize that I am slightly addicted to any type of party planning. I really really want to open my own event planning company with my friend out in CA. I digress. my apologies. So, said mother and aunt go nutty over the shower ideas and a week later they are calling me with glasses of wine in hand to tell me how wonderfully the "pacifier favors" are coming out. (note to mother and aunt: when proud of pacifier favor accomplishment, it makes sense to actually take a picture of these, so that I can show on my blog). They are giddy and they read back to me their long lists of what they are going to make for the shower. They tell me how they are taking half days at work on the Friday before the shower, you know, just to make sure everything gets done. I get more nervous, because although I am not actually attending this shower, I realize they are, in fact, over anazlying every little thing. I pray for good weather so everyone can make it, and for my poor father who has to deal with these ladies while they do "baby shower prep."
Anyway, no reason to make this story longer than it should be...the shower goes off without a hitch. My gorgeous (and getting larger by the day) pregnant cousin loves every second of the purple/pink/green shower and I beam from the inside with pride for these two NH party planners, like a mother who drops her kid off at preschool for the first day only to learn later that he ate play-do. It only takes 4 days to actually get photos from this amazing shower (the email wires from NH to NJ apparently cross somewhere over Alaska) and I am stunned. The shower decor looks amazing. I tell my mother that they should start a catering and party planning business. She nicely declines the offer.

After 4 close friends of ours got engaged in the past 2 months (shout out to Leah and Steve, Krissy and Justin, Mark and Maura and TK and Adam!!!), I have become a little bit obsessed with weddings. I thought I got my fix 1 1/2 years ago when I married the love of my life, but it turns out that there is always more room for pretty flowers, gorgeous dresses, 60s inspired portraits and flawless hair (check out the the wedding/ bride down the bottom of this post).
