OH- IO!!!!
So we took a little trip to Ohio last weekend for the OSU/Iowa football game. We decided to drive, and although we saw about 4,000 cows along the way, I am still unsure if driving was a good idea (the trip back was VERY long...thankfully I slept for about 3 hours of it while the husband drove- thank you John!). We had an amazing trip though...above are just a few photos from the trip...
From the top: 1.) a stop at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. Place was full of history and we needed another 6 hrs to really soak up all it held! I even snuck some pics inside the Springsteen exhibit! 2.) Our walk over to the stadium, with cocktail in hand. Stadium is huge- there were over 107,000 people in attendance! 3.) The entire city of Columbus shuts down on game day and routes for their hometown team...these were two fans we saw along the way that John told me to take a pic of- lucky for these guys they sat in order! 4.) We visited the old basketball arena for the Skull Session (the infamous OSU marching band practices here). The team came through on their way to the stadium...this whole thing was really cool and so entertaining. 5.) Inside the stadium- its HUGE. Did I mention that OSU won in overtime and are Rose Bowl bound???? Whats better than watching 50,000 people storm the field? This last photo shows just the beginning of it!

Into the Great Wide Open
Ohio State University- I love you. I tried to apply to you for college but my parents nixed the idea before I could even fill out the application...something about " me only going there because the quarterback was hot..blah blah." I have been OSU Football's biggest fan since 1996 or so and even to this day, I loyally put on my vintage Ohio State t -shirt every time they play and tell everyone else to "shut up I am watching the game." Some of my best memories include the ridiculous rose bowl win, trips to the BCS championship game, and watching them crush Michigan year after year. Unfortunately, some of my lowest moments have also come after hours of mouthing off to rival fans, only to watch the Buckeye's do what they seem to do best: crumble under pressure.
The husband knows how much I love OSU (even if he thinks the obsession is a bit crazy) and got me tickets to what is turning out to be their BIGGEST GAME OF THE YEAR. I sat quietly last Saturday afternoon, silently praying that Iowa would lose (something they had not done in 17 straight games) and hoping that OSU would pull out a win against Penn State. The god's must have loved me that day, because sure enough Iowa lost, and OSU kicked Penn State all around Happy Valley. This Saturday, it all goes down in Columbus. #10 Iowa vs #11 OSU for what seems to be the Big Ten championship game. I am more ready than I ever will be...nails painted gray and red, layers of OSU clothing packed up, and a camera to snap 400 or so photos on the long drive out to Ohio. I am so excited it really isnt even funny.
It all started with a simple crush on a boy that was 1,000 miles away (he totally looks like the husband)....
And then that boy came in like a rockstar and won the Rose Bowl
Then there was Todd Boeckman...sigh

Jealousy
Yesterday I was catching up on some of my favorite blogs when I came across an adorable dress. I clicked on the link, and it took me to what I would call the best thing to happen to me, well, all week. You MUST check out www.asos.com The English get all the cool clothes! Topshop, Sam Edelman, and now this. Their dress selection is Ah-mazing and everything is pretty fairly priced. I havent been able to stop browsing yet, it is becoming a slight problem. And the best part? They have men's clothing too...so I can pretend I am shopping for the husband.
Dream Weaver
Everything here adds the perfect amount of calm to this bedroom. The exposed wood beams give it a rustic touch, while the colors make it light and airy. If this was my bed, I would never leave it and while I was there, I would dream of so many sweet things...
An amazing pair of heels...courtesy Louboutin
Cocktail dress with just the right amount of grecian elegance
So what if the bottom of this dress looks like an umbrella? I would wear it in a heartbeat
Structured shoulders and embellishments
I love the combination of gold/silver in this sharp looking necklace
Wallpaper Pretty Please?
After stalking an array of interior design blogs and magazines, I have noticed a certain trend- wallpaper is making a come back. This isn't your grandmother's wallpaper though. This new breed is super trendy, edgy and vibrant, and makes you wish you had the courage to try and make one wall in your house look as good as these do:
